An overturned semi-trailer has caused a partial closure of I-10 East in central El Paso, Texas, causing several lanes to be closed on the main road. The Texas Department of Transportation reported that the incident initially resulted in a complete complete shutdown of the road. However, after fire and police crews managed to reopen one lane and allow traffic to flow, traffic is backed up to Porfirio Diaz. An overturned trailer truck has shut down several lanes of I-10 heading east at central El Paso.
According to a social media post by the Texas Department of Transportation, an overturned semi-trailer has closed left three lanes of I-10 East at Copia Street.
The incident first prompted a complete shutdown of I-10 East, however as fire and police crews have managed to open one lane and let traffic flow.
TxDOT is reporting that traffic is backed up to Porfirio Diaz.
No information was released on whether there were injuries.
