These El Paso Businesses Are Embracing April Fools’ with Social Media Pranks
That Chico the Chihuahua prank had us gasping in shock! El Paso businesses are using April Fool's day to trick their loyal customers with social media pranks. This year's prank occurred on the Monday after Easter, which many people overlooked as Easter Monday was also April Fool't's day. Major businesses, like 7-Eleven, began their April Fool’s jokes days in advance. However, these were later revealed as an early April Foolish's joke, with some companies still planning to release their own line of Sparkling Water. Other local businesses included Me & Grizz announcing Eminem and 50 cent's new country album, but some people quickly knew it was an April Fool's joke.

El Paso businesses are not letting this April Fool's day go by without pulling a few pranks on their loyal customers!
This year, April Fool's landed on the Monday after Easter so many people were too busy recovering from the busy weekend to remember that Easter Monday was also April Fool's!
Some big businesses, like 7-Eleven, decided to start their April Fool’s jokes days in advance! If you really believed that 7-Eleven was going to be releasing a Hot Dog flavored Sparkling water then you were probably sad to hear the news that the announcement was in fact an early April Fool's joke.
However, the company will still be releasing their own line of Sparkling water but with flavors that actually make sense. But hey, if you really did want a hot dog flavored sparkling water then you can still message the company and they just might release some in the future.
However, back here in El Paso, businesses wanted to jump in on the April Fool’s jokes on the actual day.
Me & Grizz contributed to the day by announcing that Eminem and 50 cent were releasing a new country album and although we thought it was HILARIOUS, some callers were quick to know what we were up to and instantly knew this was an April Fool’s joke.
While some jokes may have had people actually believing them, others were just too outrageous and people instantly knew they were April Fool’s jokes.
The day is young though so who knows what other crazy jokes local businesses will pull on us. For now, here’s a look at some April Fool’s jokes from local businesses:
