Motorists will see a more prominent law enforcement action on the state highway, with the help of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety. The inspections will be conducted on commercial vehicles traveling on the highway, focusing on brakes, lights, couplers, tires, and safety concerns. However, Laura Saad, founder of DOT Audits Compliance & Safety Services LLC, warned that removing commercial traffic on Transmountedain could cause more accidents on I-10.
