Brooklyn Can't Get Enough of These El Paso-Style Burritos
El Paso-style burritos are getting some serious love in Brooklyn, where chef Alan Delgado's Los Burritos Juárez has caught the Michelin Guide's attention. Chef Alan Delgado, a Borderland chef who grew up near the El Paso/Juárez border, has opened Los Burritos Juárez in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood in 2025. The restaurant serves traditional burritos, with handmade flour tortillas filled with slow-cooked meats, beans, and flavorful guisados. The menu includes pork simmered in red chile and brisket in salsa verde with potatoes. Delgado reportedly spent four years perfecting his recipe to recreate the traditional burrito style he grew up in El Paso. In April 2026, Los Burritoos Juarez was added to the Michelin Guide, marking a significant achievement for a small burrito shop with Borderland roots. The eatery has also been featured in major New York food publications like Eater and Time Out New York.
