The organization outfield depth is of particular interest as the Padres wait to see how Jurickson Profar’s knee bounces back from Tuesday’s exit.

The Rancho Bernardo High product moved into a tie for the farm-system-lead with two blasts, leading Triple-A El Paso to a 10-3 win at Albuquerque.

Mitchell’s nine homers match what fellow El Paso outfielder Oscar Mercado’s start to the season.

Both are in their first year in the organization after signing minor league deals.

The left-handed-hitting Mitchell drove in three runs on the home runs and is hitting .280/.377/.537 in 48 games in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League.

Third baseman Eguy Rosario (1.087 OPS) went 2-for-5 with his seventh homer and second baseman Matthew Batten (.770 OPS) drove in three runs on two hits, including his third homer.

First baseman Graham Pauley (.797 OPS) doubled twice and drove in a run.

Center fielder Bryce Johnson (.892 OPS) went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI, a walk and two runs scored.

Left-hander Miguel Cienfuegos (1-1, 5.91 ERA) allowed two runs in six innings in the win.

• Missions 5, Corpus Christi 4: 1B Robbie Tenerowicz (.720 OPS) and RF Robert Perez Jr. (.678 OPS) both hit their fifth homer of the season. C Brandon Valenzuela (.690 OPS) hit his fourth homer and 2B Ripken Reyes (.623 OPS) hit his first. RHP Victor Lizarraga (3.83 ERA) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk in five innings in the start. He struck out four.

RHP Keegan Collett (1-2, 8.53 ERA) allowed four runs in two-thirds of an inning to blow the save.

• Giants 9, Padres 2 (7): RHP Glenn Otto (shoulder) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk in an inning in his second rehab start. CF Spence Coffman (.698 OPS) went 3-for-3. 3B Yendry Rojas (.663 OPS) doubled in a run. RF Kaden Hollow (.903 OPS) went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

• Red Sox 5, Padres 3: RF Jesmaylin Arias (.892 OPS) and DH Kevin Tamburini (.918 OPS) both had two hits. Both of Arias’ hits were doubles. RHP Dionicio Nova (0-1, 2.08 ERA) allowed three runs — one earned — in 4 ⅓ innings in relief in the loss.

• Dodgers 10, Padres 3: 1B Yoiber Ocopio (.867 OPS) went 2-for-5. RHP Erick Batista (0-2, 10.50 ERA) walked five and allowed six runs—two earned—in three innings without allowing a hit.
