El Paso firefighters tackle new hotspot at recycling plant after historic blaze
Firefighters were back at a south-central recycling plant on Tuesday, a week after a massive fire consumed much of the site. Firefighters from the El Paso Fire Department have returned to the PCM Recycling Plant on Paisano Drive to put out a hot spot a week after a massive fire destroyed much of the site. The City Building and Inspections Department, as well as the Fire Marshals, were also investigating the incident. The plant was the site of a fire on May 28 that officials have deemed one of the largest in El Paso's history. Crews were also at the plant over the weekend to inspect the scene after reports of smoke.

Crews with the El Paso Fire Department returned to the PCM Recycling Plant on Paisano Drive Tuesday to put out a hot spot.
According to a spokesperson with EPFD, firefighters responded to Tuesday's hotspot just before 6 a.m.
The City Building and Inspections Department, as well as the Fire Marshals, were also at the scene to investigate.
The plant was the site of a fire on May 28 that officials dubbed one of the largest in El Paso's history.
