The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Jose “Joey” Antonio Juarez III, allegedly arrived at the scene as the passenger of a dark-blue Cadillac and engaged in an altercation with a 34-year old man during the altercation. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera. The person of interest was identified as the driver of the Cadillac and the suspected shooter, who fled the scene on foot with an injury that was not life-threatening. Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County and the Las Cruces Police Department are asking for the community's help in identifying the suspected gunman who fatally shot a man at a home on Graham Street on Feb. 15.

Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County is offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps identify a person of interest in the fatal Feb. 15 shooting at a home on Graham Street.

According to LCPD, the suspect arrived at a home on the 900 block of Graham Street, in the early morning of Feb. 15, 2024, as the passenger of a dark-blue Cadillac.

The driver of the Cadillac was reportedly 29-year-old Jose “Joey” Antonio Juarez III.

Investigators learned that Juarez and his passenger, the person of interest, got into an altercation with a 34-year-old man who was at the home.

During the altercation at least one round was discharged, striking Juarez who succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

The suspected gunman fled the scene on foot, which was captured by a surveillance camera.

The 34-year-old man also left the home and went to MountainView Regional Medical Center with an injury that was not life-threatening.

Since they arrived at the home together, it’s presumed that Juarez and the suspected gunman were friends.

Anyone with information that can help identify the person of interest is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County.
