The what's what on Albuquerque municipal ballot questions
Bottom of the ballot asks voters about performing arts center, local leadership and how to spend public safety money The bottom of the ballot asks voters about performing arts center, local leadership, and how to spend public safety money. These questions determine how the local government operates, what taxes it raises and projects it completes. The first question asks voters to repeal a section of the City Charter that prevents the city from spending more than $10 million on a performing arts centre. The second question will determine public safety leadership. The final question asks how money from the Public Safety Tax should be spent. Last year, the tax raised $58 million for public safety. The last day to vote on these questions is Election Day on Nov. 3.
