Heavy rainfall results in hazardous roads in Far East El Paso
The rainfall overnight into Monday turned roadways into hazardous waterways on Montana Avenue. Severe flooding and deep water ponding was reported along from Desert Storm Road to Hueco Tanks Road. Dark roads created poor visibility, leading to drivers not being able to brake in time before reaching the flowing water. Drivers were seen speeding through water Heavy rainfall overnight into Monday caused hazardous roads in Far East El Paso, causing severe flooding and deep water ponding. Poor visibility led to drivers being unable to brake in time to reach the flowing water, causing them to accelerate through debris. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office reported that debris has been cleared, but TxDOT is still working on clearing the debris.
