TCA loses first regular season game since 2023 as rally falls short
For the first time in three years, The Classical Academy’s football team lost a regular season game. The Classical Academy (8-1), the top-ranked team in Class 2A, lost their first regular season game in three years to 2A's No. 2 Elizabeth. The Titans' 27-17 road loss was a crucial lesson for them in the postseason, according to coach Justin Rich. The Classical Academy had won 26 consecutive regular season games since October 2023. Elizabeth (9-0) built a 20-0 lead and forced two interceptions in the opening 24 minutes, leading to a two-point touchdown run from Josiah Musilli and a field goal by Wilson Grothe. TCA's defense managed to claw back the deficit to 20-14 with 11 minutes remaining.
