The El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank (EPF) has received a $307,000 grant from Feeding America to launch a mobile grocery pilot program for neighbors facing food insecurity in a private setting. The three-year grant will support EPF's Food and Health Access Pilot, which will begin with Centro San Vicente. The pilot will initially serve referred patients at four clinic locations and EPF plans to add more partner pantries as the program develops, expanding access to nutritious food across the community. The funding includes $8,000 for Hope Health, a UTEP-led event connecting neighbors with health screenings, education and follow-up support in a trusted food access setting.
