El Paso GOP chair plans to sue Sacha Baron Cohen over Ali G film
"I never signed anything agreeing to do a movie." El Paso Republican chair Michael Aboud plans to sue comedian Sacha Baron Cohen for misleading him into participating in the Ali G: Who Iz I?, mockumentary. The film, which is set to release on Oct. 23, features footage of Aboud participating in a fake military training exercise. Aboud claims that he was misled into attending a meeting about immigration and its effects on communities. He claims that after realizing the meeting was not what it was made out to be, he began distancing himself from being on camera. Cohen, who has previously faced lawsuits for unknowing participants in his Ali G show and Borat films, plays an ex-Mossad terrorist expert, Col. Erran Morad.
