Austin Brawley's interception gave the first-place Lobos a 21-9 lead early in the fourth quarter. The senior safety also returned a 65-yard pick-6 in a previous home game against UTEP. North Dakota St. managed only 74 yards of offense and Nathan Hayes' 15-yard touchdown pass to Reis Kessell. Despite Hayes' touchdown pass, New Mexico held on to its lead until the end of the game. The Lobos have now won four consecutive games, with their only loss being a 14-6 loss to Oklahoma.
